Meet Michelle Cridland: The Creative Force Behind A Sharp Music
Michelle's musical journey kicked off at just 5 years old when her parents enrolled her in piano lessons at the local YAMAHA music school in the vibrant Sutherland Shire. From there, she immersed herself in numerous eisteddfods and annual concerts, mastering both practical and musicianship exams under the Yamaha and AMEB system. Michelle's passion for music expanded as she delved into singing lessons, conquering GUILD exams and showcasing her talents in various eisteddfods.
In 2007, Michelle took her love for music to the next level by pursuing a Bachelor of Music at The Australian Institute of Music. But her true calling came to fruition that same year when she founded A Sharp Music. What started as humble beginnings with private piano lessons quickly blossomed into a full-fledged music school, operating six days a week, Monday through Saturday.
By 2012, A Sharp Music had outgrown its initial space and found a new home in Miranda. Over the next four years, the school flourished, offering a diverse range of classes in piano, guitar, singing, and theory across two rooms. Yet, with maximum capacity reached, Michelle knew it was time for the next chapter.
In 2016, A Sharp Music found its permanent residence in a custom-built facility in Sutherland. Boasting six rooms complete with soundproofing and top-quality equipment, our school stands out as a beacon of musical education in the Sutherland Shire. Parents are welcome to sit in on lessons, and we provide a spacious waiting area for convenience.

Lesson Rates:
Our standard rate for half-hour classes is $40.
Invoicing:
Lessons are invoiced by the school term. If you join mid-term, we'll prorate your fees accordingly so you only pay for the remaining classes in the term.
Makeup Lessons:
We understand that life can sometimes get in the way of attending scheduled classes. If you need to miss a lesson, simply let us know in advance, and we'll do our best to offer you a makeup lesson at a convenient time.
Payment Methods:
Payment for the term can be made in the following ways:
Cash: Pay in person at our school during operating hours.
Direct Deposit: Transfer the payment directly to our bank account using the details provided on your invoice.
Credit Card: Visit our school in person to pay by credit card. We accept all major credit cards.
